11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Panel organized by Tina Traster, author of Rescuing Julia Twice, for the ASJA’s (American Society of Journalists and Authors) April New York City conference. The panel will feature writers, an agent and an editor talking about memoirs on raising/rearing/writing about our children.
During the 90-minute panel, we will explore such issues as:
When is it okay to write about our children; when isn’t it?
How do writers overcome concerns of privacy?
How do we write about our children while raising them?
Whose permission do we seek?
What are agents/editors looking for? How are these memoirs marketed?
